Indigenous Affairs Minister Mal Brough wants to pluck "young Aborigines from remote communities and put them to work in our swank five star city hotels", writes Rob Woodburn for SMH's Lost in Transit blog.

According to Brough, it's "an opportunity for Australia to showcase our first Australians, and that is exactly what tourists come here to see."

Sounds suspiciously to me like a euphemism for "let's dress the natives up in bellboy costume and have them entertain the colonials at tea time. It'll be a lark!"

I liked this comment from "Gez" too: "Mal's orright for a bossman. He might even let you eat at the bighouse sometime. Just make sure Jannette don't see you near the kitchen."

Yes, sir, master boss, Mr Brough, sir.
