Death to Outlook and Exchange: two-way, over the air Google Calendar to Blackberry sync!

If I could sync my Blackberry with Google Calendar over the air, bidirectionally, I'd be able to dump Outlook forever. (Though admittedly Google doesn't have a particularly robust contacts system for Gmail yet and it would be nice to sync contacts too.)

One blogger reckons he's done it. I haven't had time to try the method out yet but I'm noting it here in case anyone else is interested (and so I don't forget it myself!)

Google also has an Apps integration page that I didn't know about… with a handy page about ways to sync your phone with Google Calendar.

How to import your Gmail accounts into your Google Apps 10GB mailbox

One word: awesome. Thanks to Oli Zerdos for picking up on this.

I had two full Gmail accounts and I was always going back from my Google Apps account into gmail to search old emails. It'll be brilliant to have them all in one mailbox now.

When two worlds collide…

This interesting image is of my office building in Sydney, as shown in Google Earth. You can check it out yourself by searching for Corner Castlereagh and Goulburn Streets, Sydney, NSW, Australia.

Evidently two photos taken at different angles have had to come together to make this odd shot. My question is: how do they do it? Presumably there's not some guy sitting there in front of Photoshop deep-etching buildings, so what sort of logic does it take to blend two completely skew-whif photos like this?
